Boy Racer Epidemic?
I work at a local service station and every weekend just about we have the problem of boy racers dumping diesel on the roundabout where we r situated (we do NOT supply them with the diesel!! at this time of the night it is on prepay so they cant get it even if we werent watching)….this is an on going problem and we have had quite severe damage done numerous times 2 our store and the property and equipment outside also in doing damage in this way they gather around on our property and have no respect, ie car spinning out of control and coming thru the glass window and landing in the shop!! and dumping rubbish all over our property.
As a staff member of this station and my boss as the owner, where on earth do we stand and what powers do we have 2 stop them. We have been told by the police it is our responsibilty to ask them to leave. But at what cost to our safety!!
Since you used roundabout I’m guessing you’re not in the USA. For simple trespass you do need to tell them to leave, but it sounds like these guys are breaking numerous laws and the cops should handle it. Over here diesel on the roundabout alone would get them some heavy fines.
