Who has converted their Jeep Liberty to WVO/SVO?
I want to buy a diesel 2006 Jeep Liberty and convert it to WVO for my next car. Anyone else done this? Any horror stories? Things to watch out for?
I’m hoping to have a second (hidden) tank under the floorboards. I’m in Canada and I need to ensure that the cold won’t affect the performance or burn. As much as possible I want the car to look and function normally (no freaky wires or tanks in the back seat)
What kit did you use? Who installed it? I’m in Toronto, can you recommend someone?
Also, anyone know where I can buy biodesel in Toronto or Richmond hill?
Do you run one SVO or WVO? How do you filter? Big setup or easy?

OK, here is the scoop!
The Jeep liberty has too many plastic parts in the injector pump and system. It’ll work, but not for more than a year. This is also true about Ford Power strokes and some Cat engines. the compression in these motors is too low for efficient use of WVO, and will not run efficiently.
Now what would work is to switch out the motor from a Mercedes 300TD or 300D, which can be fitted with a modified bell housing, and will give you mechanical injectors, 23 to 1 compression, and readily available parts. The other thing you could do is get a Mercedes, Audi, or VW diesel, that is designed with bio fuels in mind.
Another alternative is to get a Dodge pickup with a Cummings turbo diesel, they convert over well, maybe your Jeep can be fitted with the Cummings engine, then it is not a problem
